Black and White photograph from the Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls viewpoint on the Isle of Skye.

I took a road trip to the Isle of Skye a little while back.

The Isle of Skye is an absolutely stunning place to visit. The landscape is captivating and has everything from hills, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, long winding roads and stunning views over miles of sea with lighthouses and dramatic cliffs everywhere.

I had a couple of days to visit and luckily it's quite a small island although there is a lot to see. I could, and hope to, go back again because I still have a lot of places I want to see.

If you have a couple of days free, or if you are lucky and have more, then the Isle of Skye is simply stunning!

I have several images from my visit. This one was taken at the Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls viewpoint. I have converted it to Black and White as i think it adds drama to the sky and sea - two things you find a lot of on Skye!

One thing the Isle of Skye has is lots of Sky -
Absolutely love the place.

I hope you like this image. I just had it framed and love it.

You can view the photograph in my portfolio.

Cheers!

This image was taken at Crummock Water in the Lake District in Autumn - you can probably tell from the colours!

Well worth the drive to get there.

I wasn't too impressed by the cost of parking but hey.......

The National Trust operates here. You can view more information at Lanthwaite Wood and Crummock Water Walk.

The walk itself is fantastic though and you have views all around :)

I may be biased but it also looks pretty good printed and framed!

Probably shouldn't have taken the framed picture on a crappy mobile phone though :(

Charlies Garden in Seaton Sluice added to my Portfolio!

Hot off the press!

My 4 minute exposure of Charlies Garden in Seaton Sluice near Whitley bay.

The shot was taken from the cliff above the stone stack using a Canon 17 - 40 mm L Lens.

The place gets in name because the land used to extend to the stone stack and was used by the locals for their allotments, hence the "gardens", although I'm not sure who Charlie was........

Anyway a 4 minute exposure using a Lee Filters Bigstopper and a Lee Filters ND Soft Grad Filter got me the movement and atmosphere I wanted in the water. I'm quite pleased how it turned out :)

These 2 images are in my portfolio now.
